Sourani Receives International Delegations

During the past two days, the Director of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), Raji Sourani, met with three international delegations in Gaza. On Thursday morning, 18 April 2019, Sourani met with French Consul General Pierre Cochard and Olivia Eteneau, Political Counselor in the Consulate.

PCHR’s Director and the French delegation discussed the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in general and particularly in the Gaza Strip, and reviewed the disastrous conditions of civilians in the Gaza Strip for more than 12 years in light of the illegal and unjust closure that has affected all life aspects. The meeting also discussed the prospects for the future and ways of cooperation.

On Tuesday, 16 April 2019, Sourani met with Mr. Gilan Devorn, Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Gaza Strip, accompanied with his advisor Mr. Fayez Al-Aqra.

On the same day, Sourani and ‘Issam Younis, Director of Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, met with the Head of the German Representative Office in Ramallah, Mr. Christian Clages and the Head of Development Cooperation, Mr. Bernd Dunnzlaff, at the German Representative Office in Gaza City. The meeting also addressed the human rights situation in the oPt.
