PCHR General Assembly Holds Annual Meeting

On 13 August 2020, the General Assembly of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) held its annual meeting. The meeting was headed by Dr. Riyadh al-Za’noun, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD), and attended by BoD Members, PCHR’s Director, and the General Assembly Members. The meeting was held at PCHR’s main office in Gaza City, in the presence of consultant, Yacoub al-Ghandour, the Corporate Comptroller at the Ministry of National Economy, and his accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Riyadh al- Za’noun welcomed the attendees and thanked Mr. Yacoub al-Ghandour and the accompanying delegation for their efforts in following up the work of PCHR’s General Assembly. He also welcomed the external auditor Mr. Mohammed al-Kishawi, the representative of Saba and Co.
The meeting agenda included the following:
- Presenting and ratifying PCHR’s 2019 administrative report presented by the BoD;
- Presenting and ratifying 2019 audit report;
- Choosing a new audit company for 2020;
- Clearance of the BoD chairman and members; and
- Review of new developments on the agenda.
The General Assembly approved the administrative report presented by the BoD and the 2019 audit report presented by the audit company (Saba and Co.). Moreover, the General Assembly chose Saba and Co. as PCHR’s external audit company for 2020, and absolved BoD Chairman and members.
It should be noted that PCHR is registered as a non-profit organization according to the Companies Law.
