At approximately 17:00 on the same day, Abu Safi was referred to Barzilai Medical Center in Israel for medical treatment.
Investigations show that the incident was on grounds of financial disputes between the victim, who is forage dealer, and the gunmen. The police arrived at the scene, opened an investigation and arrested a number of citizens on ground of the incident.
PCHR strongly condemns this attack, which is a flagrant attack on the rule of law in the oPt, and calls upon the competent authorities to take strict measures to combat the increase in unlawful firearm use, especially in the recent period, which caused the killing and injury of a number of Palestinians on grounds of social violence.
