Field Update

On Sunday, 27 November 2011, the office of Sama
News Agency in Gaza City was stormed and robbed by unknown persons.

According to investigations conducted by the Palestinian
Center for Human Rights (PCHR), at approximately 09:20 on Sunday, 27 November
2011, when an employee in Sama News Agency arrived at the office of the Agency
located on the third floor of al-Andalus building in Omar al-Mukhtar Street in
the west of Gaza City, she found the door of the office was open.  She immediately phoned Mr. Hikmat Abu
Zakaria, Deputy Director of the Agency, who immediately arrived at scene.  He found that three cameras, special lenses
and lighting equipment were robbed.
Later, Mr. Adnan Abu Hasna, Director of the Agency arrived at scene, and
he informed the Palestinian police, which arrived at the scene and opened an
investigation.
