PCHR Receives Two Delegations from Trocaire and DCA
The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) received two delegations from its Danish and Irish partners. The meetings addressed the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and the Centre’s work.
On Tuesday, 03 December 2019, PCHR received a delegation from Trócaire, the Centre’s longtime Irish partner, that included Garrett Walsh, Communications & Content Officer; Ciaran Gallagher, Communications Officer; Oisin McConville, oPt Counselor and Human Rights Activist.
PCHR organized a field tour for the delegation to meet victims of Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) human rights violations and fishermen at the Gaza Seaport who addressed IOF violations against them and challenges they face in their work.
It should be mentioned that PCHR has had historic and distinctive ties with Trocaire, which is considered one of the largest Irish NGOs active in advocacy campaigns in Ireland and Europe in the interest of its partners and their just causes.
On Wednesday, PCHR received a delegation from DanChurchAid (DCA) that included Antony Grank, Global Coordinator of DCA; Anne Sommer Knudsen, Advocacy Officer; and Reem al-Sharif, Program Officer at DCA office in Gaza. The meeting discussed their partnership and joint work.
