PCHR Interventions

PCHR enjoys Special Consultative Status at the UN ECOSOC.  As such PCHR is entitled to submit interventions to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. The following are written interventions submitted to the 61st session of the Commission. During the current session of the commission in Geneva,  March and April 2005, the submission of oral interventions was coordinated with PCHR's partners al Haq and FIDH.

• The right of peoples to self-determination and its application to peoples under colonial or alien domination or foreign occupation

• Question of the violation of human rights in the occupied Arab territories, including Palestine

• Civil and political rights, including the question of disappearances and summary executions

• The integration of the human rights of women and the gender perspective

• The rights of the child

• The Promotion and Protection of Human Rights
