In one of the single
most destructive acts of collective punishment during the al-Aqsa
Intifada, Israeli occupation forces destroyed 99 houses and rendered
another 41 inhabitable in the Rafah refugee camp along the border with
Egypt on 10 and 11 January 2002. Approximately 1,600 people were
left homeless. |
