Yesterday morning, a man was killed in Gaza City as a result of the use of firearms in a clan dispute.

According to investigations conducted by PCHR, at approximately 02:00 on Saturday, 15 August 2009, the body of Rasheed 'Aashour Dughmosh, 40, from al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza City, was brought to Shifa Hospital.  He was killed by a gunshot to the head during an internal dispute in his clan.

PCHR is concerned over increasing casualties resulting from the use of weapons personal and clan disputes, which is part of the state of security chaos and proliferation of weapons in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.  PCHR reiterates its call for the Palestinian National Authority, represented by the Attorney-General, to investigate such crimes and bring the perpetrators to justice.
