PCHR Launches a Posters Campaign
against Internal Fighting
PCHR launched a large posters and stickers
campaign against internal fighting as part of its efforts to stop and
condemn Palestinian infighting. The campaign aims to raise the voice of
civil society, and enlist popular support against the crimes of internal
fighting plaguing the OPT, and to call for dialogue and the rule of law.
Along side field activities, press releases, and
other publications, PCHR and other civil society organizations started a
drive to put up posters condemning internal fighting and calling for its
immediate cessation. Among the slogans in this campaign:
-
Internal fighting
is a recipe for self destruction
-
Anyone raising a
gun in the face of his Palestinian brother is a criminal
-
Together towards
building a secure Palestinian civil society respecting freedoms and rights
-
The jungle of guns
means the absence of the rule of law
-
Infighting and
security chaos lead to political obscurity
-
Our choice is life
not death; Our goal is freedom of country and people
-
Work together to
preserve Palestinian life, uphold dignity, support freedom, and respect
rights
It is noted that PCHR also participated in
setting up a protest tent that organized by public figures and human rights
defenders in the Unknown Soldier Park in Gaza City to protest the continued
infighting, and to call for stopping it.
